As I started this blog at the begining of the month and almost at the start of school year, it’s the perfect occasion to organize sewing plans I have in mind for October
These last few months I filled the gap in my me mades and I sewed a few pants that I love!
- Bottom part of the Amélie jumpsuit (Coralie Bijasson)
- Winslow culottes (Helen’s closet)
- Carla jumpsuit (Schnittchen patterns)
- A second version of a carrot pants (Burda style #141)
- Wide leg pants (Peppermint) it’s only missing a button and buttonhole
- Lou carrot pants (Mouna Sew) on which I need to recut side seams a bit, my FSA wasn’t completly successfull and sew the waistband
But now I want to sew tops to wear with these pants and dresses in order to not have to think too hard on how to dree in the morning 😉 I spotted these patterns I have in my stash:
Pussy Bow Blouse – Sew over it
I really like the ties and the small bishop sleeves! I don’t know if I’ll be confident enough to wear it though… I’ll probably sew it in a white creme viscose with brick elephant print. Or in a blue stripped cotton poplin .
Airelle blouse – Deer&Doe
Again I like the small bishop sleeves of this pattern. I’ll probably sew it in a blue cotton crepe and maybe with another fabric for the yoke.
Coco top – Tilly and the buttons
The funnel roll neck makes me think of one of Audrey Hepburn’s outfit on Breakfast at Tiffany’s so I’ll need one! Unfortunately, I don’t have many knits in my stash plus I need one with very little strech… I’m not sure I’ll have the right fabric on hand and I’d rather shop my stash than new fabrics, so we’ll see.
Lupin jacket – Deer&Doe
This cropped jacket will be perfect with the high waisted pants I’ve sewn lately! I need to check which fabrics to use, I’d like a warm version as it’s begining to get cold in Paris…
Anita dress – Fiat Lux
I bought this pattern in March when I met Bérengère (Fiat Lux’s creator) for the launch party of her Blair dress/top pattern (that I also bought and sewn a version of). But as the weather started to get warmer at the time I’ve kept it for automne/winter and now it’ll be perfect. I have a few yards of different sweat fabrics but I’ll need to check if I’ll have enough for this dress.
Oxanne dress – Anna Rose
Look at this back!!! Do I need to say more??? And look at these small bishop sleeves?!!! Well, I just love this pattern and I have the perfect fabric for it: a cotton/viscose blend with a red/orange tartan print ♥ I can’t wait!!!
Fiona dungarees- Make My Lemonade
I just started a toile for these dungarees. I eventually jumped on the dungarees/overalls trend after watching everyone sewing or wearing some this spring and summer… The last ones I owned I was 10 years old but they seem so comfy! I’ve cut the toile on a brown cotton with some stretch as I’d like to sew the final version in the same fabric but in deep blue.
Now that I see my list I’m wondering if I’ll be able to sew everything in October (7 projects it’s a lot…) Knowing that I also have a few commisions for friends that I need to take care of asap. Oh well, if not this month, later. I’m not in a hurry 🙂
What about you? What are you October or automne sewing projects?
